The 2023 – 2024 Maple Leaf Community Concert Series kicks off Tuesday, October 10th with 7000 Miles to Broadway, featuring Tony Award-nominee and original Jersey Boys star J. Robert Spencer, where he will take the audience on a journey across genres and decades of hits that were inspired by family road trips:

“The story really revolves around travel, it revolves around that car radio, because my mom and dad were from the 50s, rock and roll and country. My sisters were in the 70s, so they were listening to whatever was on the radio at that time. Then myself, I had my own love. I had my love for The Beatles, The Monkeys, Franki Valli and the Four Seasons. The I found my own calling, but it all happened with those car rides. The evening will consist of an eclectic variety of Broadway standards of great classic rock and roll, pop, and country. It is filled with a lot of stories of celebrity encounters on Broadway, some very funny stories, some family stories, and it really just talks about my journey from those car rides to making it all the way to Broadway.”

7000 Miles to Broadway will begin at 7 pm inside Dahl Chapel on the Monmouth College Campus. Individual and membership tickets for the Maple Leaf Community Concert Series can be purchased locally at the Buchanan Center for the Arts or at the door on October 10th.
