District 1 on the Warren County Board has two openings up for election next March. Finance Committee Member Thad Tharp explains the process of getting on the ballot:

“The process as I remember is you have to have a petition of your peers with so many signatures to be able to get on the ballot. You have to collect your petition signatures, submit that petition to the courthouse, and that is what triggers getting your name on the ballot, then a race from there.”

Petitions for signatures can be picked up at the Warren County Courthouse. The first date to turn the forms back in is November 27th at 8 am and the last being December 4th at 5 pm.
