Carl Sandburg College Theater brings the holiday season to the stage with its fall play, “A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play,” from Nov. 30-Dec. 3 in the Fine Arts Theater (Room F118) on the Galesburg campus, 2400 Tom L. Wilson Blvd.
Directed by Scott Rasso, this stage adaptation by Joe Landry brings Charles Dickens’ holiday classic to life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. A handful of actors bring dozens of characters to life as three ghosts take Ebeneezer Scrooge on a journey to teach him the true meaning of Christmas.
A free preview for students, faculty and staff with a Sandburg ID will take place at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30. Show times for public performances are 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1-2 as well as a matinee performance at 2 p.m. Dec. 3. Tickets are $5 each and are available at the door starting 30 minutes prior to each show.
