Share

The Buchanan Center for the Arts has announced their Endowment and Capital Campaign and as of the conclusion of the Taste of the Arts fundraiser, $1.2 million of the $1.8 million goal has been raised. Executive Director Kristyne Gilbert shares those funds will be utilized to renovate the second floor as well as fund community arts programs:

“We are launching that public campaign right now. We have all types of programming at the Buchanan Center and we are wanting to expand that space because of the need and the demand. The second floor will house a gallery, a classroom, a permanent collection room, a theater space; we will have a three level elevator and ADA accessible bathrooms. We are really excited to make that move.”

Construction is anticipated to begin in 2027 with completion in 2029, which will be the 40th anniversary of the Buchanan Center for the Arts.
