Football Divisions Changing in the TRAC in 2024

Football teams in the Three Rivers Conference will be in for a big change next season, as the landscape of the conference divisions will be changing. With Morrison and Bureau Valley leaving and Mercer County joining, the TRAC is now switching to a format the Lincolnland Conference also adopted last season, as teams will now be divided into big and small rather than east and west. The small school side of the conference will feature Erie-Prophetstown, Mercer County, Orion, Sterling Newman, Riverdale, and Rockridge, while the big school side will have Spring Valley Hall, Kewanee, Mendota, Sherrard, Monmouth-Roseville, and Princeton battling it out for a division title. Speaking about the change on the WRAM Morning Show on Monday, Monmouth-Roseville Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Jeremy Adolphson says that despite the fact that the Titans will be in a different division from Rockridge, Orion, and Mercer County, those rivalries will remain in tact through their crossover games each season.

Last season the Three Rivers Conference East and West divisions were won by Princeton and Rockridge, respectively. The Titans finished the 2023 season with an overall record of 6-5 and 4-2 mark in division play. For the full interview with Coach Adolphson, visit the Sports Podcast section.
