Story by Kadin Rogers

The Monmouth-Roseville Titans girls basketball team officially started their season on Monday night at the annual ROWVA-Ridgewood Pre-Thanksgiving Tournament. The Titans made quick work of their first opponent, the Galva Wildcats, winning by a final score of 61-21. Monmouth-Roseville is looking to repeat the success that they had last season, as the Titans won 26 games, as well as taking home the consolidation’s first regional title with a 65-53 win over Princeton in the class 2A Bureau Valley tournament last season. Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show on Wednesday, Titans girls Head Coach Scott Weber says that the team hopes to carry over the momentum that the program built last season, as they want to bring another year of success to the Monmouth-Roseville community.

The Lady Titans continue play in the ROWVA-Williamsfield/Ridgewood Pre-Thanksgiving Tournament on Wednesday, taking on conference rival Rockridge at 6:00.
