Warren County Holding Truth and Taxation Public Hearing Ahead of Final Budget Approval

The Warren County Board will hold a Truth and Taxation Public Hearing on Wednesday, November 29th at 6 pm to present their budget before a final approval. Chairman Mike Pearson breaks down the county’s tax levy of the budget:

“With all the different line items that go into the County’s taxes, if it has more than a five percent increase, we have to have a public hearing. We have had them in the past to answer any questions that the public has. Essentially what caught us this year is you have the normal increases, because of the increase in salaries that we have experienced the last couple of years, Social Security, and other things have increased a little bit due to finalizing the union negotiations, that caused a little short in that.”
