As the harvest season draws closer to completion, activity of large equipment on the roadways will continue up until the ground freezes as field work will be occurring, reminds Warren County Sheriff Martin Edwards:
“Even after the crop is out, there is going to be a lot of tillage equipment out, people will be putting on anhydrous, so the toolbars will be out there. Up until the ground is frozen, you can probably expect some activity out there. Have a little patience, give them some room, and work with each other. The operator will work with you as well. People just need to slow down, sometimes stop, signal, and just make sure to pass each other safely. I always want to reiterate that when you are out on rural roads, particularly in hilly areas, again consider there might be something at the bottom of that hill once you top it.”
