Here’s the WMOI/WRAM Athletes of the Week for the week ending Nov. 19th, 2023:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is junior girls basketball player, Tatianna Talivaa. Tatianna posted great numbers in her four games at the ROWVA/Williamsfield-Ridgewood Thanksgiving Tournament. She averaged 13.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists as the Titans placed 2nd. For her efforts, Tatianna earned a spot on the All-Tournament team.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week junior girls basketball player, Rosie Flynn. Rosie posted 14 points in a ROWVA/Williamsfield-Ridgewood Thanksgiving Tournament win over ROWVA/Williamsfield. Her effort on the court throughout the week, earned praise from competing coaches in the tournament, as Rosie was selected to the All-Tournament team.

The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is senior girls basketball player, Shelby Bowman. Shelby put on one of the most incredible performances in quite some time at the ROWVA/Williamsfield-Ridgewood Tournament. In three wins in the tourney, she averaged 37.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 6 steals a game. As well as helping her squad to a tournament title, Shelby was selected to the All-Tournament team.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is senior girls basketball player, Alexis Edgerson. Alexis had a big hand in helping the Silver Streaks to a pair of wins in the Galesburg Thanksgiving Shootout. She scored 11 points, hit a pair of big 3-pointers and grabbed 3 rebounds and assists in a win over Metamora. Alexis backed that up with 8 points and two more 3-balls in a victory over Springfield.

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week is junior girls basketball player, Hailey Redding. Haley put on an outstanding performance all week at the ROWVA/Williamsfield-Ridgewood Thanksgiving Tournament. She scored 34 points in a win over ROWVA/Williamsfield and averaged over 23 points for the 4 games. Hailey made ten 3-pointers and shot 78% from the free throw line on her way to an All-Tournament team selection.
