It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Jane Voorhees, who departed from this world on 12/02/2023. She was born on 9/16/1952 and lived a life filled with love, joy, and an unwavering devotion to her family.

Jane Voorhees was a woman of remarkable strength and resilience, embodying the spirit of a warrior. Her love was fierce, and she fought hard for the well-being of herself and happiness of her family. She faced life’s challenges with grace and determination, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Jane’s greatest passions were cooking, singing, dancing and the warm embrace of her family. Her kitchen was a place where aromas of love and flavors of warmth converged. With every dish she prepared, she poured her heart and soul into creating dinners that brought family and friends together. Her meals were not just sustenance; they were a manifestation of her love and care.

Jane loved to sing. She found solace and joy in singing, a talent she generously shared with her family and friends. Whether through lullabies to comfort a restless child or songs of celebration during family gatherings, her voice added a special melody to the soundtrack of our lives.

Dancing was another expression of Jane’s vibrant spirit. She found joy in movement, using dance as a form of self-expression and celebration. Whether it was a spontaneous dance in the living room or a more formal setting, she brought energy and life to any occasion.

Above all, Jane was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love knew no bounds. If you knew Jane, you were family. Her family was the center of her universe, and her love for them was a guiding light that illuminated even the darkest moments. Her legacy is woven into the countless memories of laughter, warmth, and unconditional love that she leaves behind.

Jane is preceded in death by her mother and father Clyde & Gladys, and her brother Terry. She is survived by her husband Rick Voorhees; her sons Ricky and Danny Roberson; and her daughter Amy Windham. Her bonus sons Heath and Josh Voorhees, as well as her daughters-in-law Summer and Misty Roberson, and Amanda and Allie Voorhees. She had one son in law, Terry Windham. Her brothers Gary, Dennis, and Mike and her sister Pam. Jane was also surrounded by 13 grandchildren whom she held dear to her heart and loved with all of her might.

In this time of grief, let us remember and celebrate the beautiful life she lived, cherishing the moments we shared and the love she bestowed upon us. May her spirit continue to inspire us to love fiercely, cook with passion, sing from the heart, and dance through life with unbridled joy.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

May Jane rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to us all.
