Rose M.  Buckley, 63, of Monmouth, IL passed away on Monday October 27, 2025, at Allure of Lake Storey, Galesburg, IL.

Rose was born October 22, 1962, in Monmouth the daughter of Robert W. and Josephine A. (McCleary) Buckley.  She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1981.

Rose devoted 37 years of caring for “her girls” with love, care and compassion at a group home in Monmouth. She never met a stranger and enjoyed nothing more than to be with family and friends.

Rose was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Monmouth American Legion Post #136 Auxiliary. She volunteered with Warren County Special Olympics, Warren County Relay for Life and the Riley Strong Color Run. 

She is survived by her sister, Teresa (Dan) Boock and her brother, Tony (Molly) Buckley; her nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Kevin) McQuillan, Jessica (Derrick) Collier, Bryan (Jessica) Boock, Alena ( Daniel St. John) Buckley and Rachel Buckley; great-nieces and great-nephews, Daniel, Josie, Chet, Olivia, Isaiah, Kolby, Cooper and Kade; special friends, Kim, Miles and Melissa Cook, Patti Chapman and Carla Babcock.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am, Monday, November 3, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Monmouth. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Monmouth. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 am Monday morning at the church with a Rosary Service beginning at 10:30 am. Memorials may be given to Warren County YMCA SNAP (Special Needs Athletic Program) or St. Jude Children’s Hospital and sent to the funeral home.
