Maude Specklebelly’s is celebrating their ninth anniversary of being open in the Downtown Monmouth community. Owner Jamie Ballard shares the inspiration of launching the business back in 2014:

“Originally, it all started the Small Business Retail Competition. I went to the financial meeting, I was a Graphic Designer and that is why I went to the meeting thinking I would just figure out a way to make money instead of just giving my work away, so that is kind of how it started. I went back and chatted with Erin at the time and she said we should enter this competition and we did. That was never our plan and we won, so Maude Specklebelly’s came to be.”

Throughout December, Maude’s is open Tuesdays through Fridays 10 to 5 and on Saturdays 10 to 4.
