The United Red Storm boys’ basketball team is in the midst of a 16-day break for the winter season. United is off to a nice start to their 2023-2024 campaign, as they are currently 12-3 at the halfway point of their schedule after starting out the season with 3 straight losses. The Red Storm last took the floor on the 18th, when they won a close game over Lewistown to extend their winning streak to 12 games. United also went undefeated and took first place in their very own Holiday Tournament before the break. Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show this morning, 1st year Head Coach at United Jason Lancaster discussed how they have been keeping the team game ready over the extended break.

United returns to the court on Tuesday, January 3rd with a home match against Knoxville. The boys will also take part in the Carl Sandburg College shootout next Saturday, playing against Peoria Quest in Galesburg.
