On Friday, December 15th, the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 265, along with Strom Center and other local community organizations, will host the annual Power for Seniors event for Warren County seniors, shares Monmouth Police Department Investigator Josh Kramer:

“Every year we put on Power for Seniors, in conjunction with the Strom Center. The program, basically, we supply Ameren checks to an unspecified number. It is a drive-up luncheon. The checks get randomly selected and given out to seniors in the community that need the assistance. It goes toward their power bills. There are other businesses in town that donate. Save A Lot has always donated hams or turkeys in the past and some other miscellaneous things get donated.”

Reservations for the Power for Seniors program must be made by 4 pm Friday, December 8th.
