As you start filling out your 2024 calendars, local Senior Development Manager with the American Cancer Society Stacey Dutton reminds that it is never too early to schedule those preventative cancer screenings:

“Whether that is your annual PAP test, colonoscopy, prostate exam, blood work, or mammogram, go ahead and get it scheduled. There is no reason you can’t go ahead and get that scheduled on your calendar. Also, go ahead and take the time to check with your insurance companies so that you can plan ahead and know what is covered and what you need to do in the coming year.”

For those in Knox, Warren, and Henderson Counties that are underinsured or without insurance, the Knox County Health Department is able to conduct those preventative cancer screenings.
