Illinois Supreme Court Rejects Motion To Review Marcy Oglesby Murder Case

Share

The Illinois Supreme Court is rejecting a motion to review a lower court’s decision to reinstate murder charges against a Maquon woman accused of killing former Maquon Police Chief Richard Young.  The state’s high court ruling allows the Know County State’s Attorney’s Office to proceed with its prosecution against Marcy Oglesby.  The charges were initially filed after Young’s remains were found in a storage unit in Maquon in October 2022.  Oglesby is set for a pretrial hearing in March.
