Illini Aim for Big Ten Title After Win Over Maryland

Share

The Fighting Illini control their own destiny following their 85-to-80 win over Maryland this weekend.  It was only the third win in their last 13 matchups against  the Terrapins.  The Illini are now ten-and-four in conference play — a game-and-a-half behind Purdue, which lost in an upset to Ohio State this weekend.  The Boilermakers are 22-and-three overall– but all three of their losses have come on the road.  Illinois will host Purdue March fifth.
