Red Flag Warning in Effect as Severe Storms Possible Tuesday

  • Today, a Red Flag Warning is in effect for all locations from 9 AM to 6 PM. Very low humidity, gusty winds, and very warm temperatures in the 70s( record highs), will lead to very high to extreme fire behavior. Do Not Burn Today
  • There is a Slight Risk for severe storms Tuesday afternoon and early evening in Illinois. If storms do form (low chance), they will move quickly east and could pose a large hail and gusty wind threat. 
  • A strong cold front will move in Tuesday night, with a dusting of snow possible and cold wind chills.
