Share

A judge in Mercer County got their first look at the evidence in an animal neglect case where prosecutors say a woman had over 200 dogs in filthy conditions. Karen Plambeck from Sherrard was arrested in 2022, she’s facing 12 counts of aggravated cruelty to animals. She’s looking at three years in prison if convicted. Yesterday, prosecutors played body cam video from the sheriff’s office that shows dogs locked in cages without food or water, and what the detective on the case called ‘just filthy conditions.’ Her trial is expected to wrap-up Friday.
