At the recent United Board of Education meeting, fees were addressed for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year, including lunches, ballgame entry fees, substitute teacher pay, and even officials, shares Superintendent Jeff Whitsitt:

“No changes to our book and tech fees. Probably the biggest changes we have in our fee structure is that we are going to increase lunches a little bit. Those costs keep creeping up on us. We are also going to increase our substitute teacher pay. We are moving from $100 a day to $135 a day, just a product of minimum wage moving up again come January, we have to keep pace with the economics of it all. Beyond that, we had to move some official pay, that happens every year too, unfortunately, but the travel and the lack of supply of officials, it is getting to where those costs are creeping up on us.”
