The West Central Heat baseball team has gotten the opportunity to begin practicing for the upcoming 2024 Spring baseball season. West Central is just a little over two weeks away from officially starting the baseball regular season, when the Heat travel to Warsaw to take on West Hancock on Thursday, March 14th. The first home game for West Central is just three weeks away as well, as the Heat host Monmouth-Roseville on March 20th. Last season for the Heat baseball program did not go as many fans would have hoped, as the team compiled a 1-23 record in their 24 games. However, first-year head varsity coach Ross Parcel, speaking on the WRAM Morning Show this morning, says the program has faith in the 15 players that will suit up for West Central this season.
West Central’s opening day contest against West Hancock on March 14th is scheduled to begin with the first pitch at 4:30. For the full interview with varsity baseball coach at West Central High School Ross Parcel, visit the Sports Podcast section.
