WIU Ag Mech Show Returns for its 52nd Year

The Western Illinois University Ag Mech Farm Expo returns this month for its 52nd year. Taking place February 17th and 18th, the Ag Mech Farm Expo is considered the largest student-run agriculture event in the country. WIU sophomore and Ag Mechanization club president James Bierman says this year’s show will be bigger than last.

“We’ve got more vendors coming back that we didn’t have last year. Last year was more of a momentum year. It’s given us the publicity that we needed to get the vendors that we had in prior years back to the show, because I don’t think everyone was aware last year that it was starting back up from the two years off,” said Bierman. “So that’s one way it’s grown. And as far as the local community, it’s quite a big deal. So, I’m expecting a bigger turnout from last year.”

Vendors registration for the 2024 show is currently open through February 16th.
