The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is junior boys basketball player, Kyle Lafary. Kyle ended the season the same way he started it, by filing up the stat sheet. He posted 8 points and hauled in 3 rebounds in a loss to a very good Peoria Christian ballclub in the regional tournament. Kyle also hit a pair of 3-pointers and garnered a pair of steals on defense.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is sophomore boys basketball player, Jackson Crock Sibbing. Jackson only got stronger as the season went on, as shown by his performance in a regional tournament win over Geneseo. He scored 19 points on four, 3-pointers. Even more impressive, Jackson hauled down a career-high 8 rebounds in the victory.

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week is junior girls basketball player, Hailey Redding. Hailey had a great sectional tournament week, especially in a semifinal win over Lewistown.
