The City of Galesburg Parks and Recreation Department will host the annual community Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Lakeside Recreation Facility.

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt is sponsored by HyVee, 105.3 KFM, and many other local businesses. This free event for area youth will feature egg hunts divided by age groups, ages 2-11, with over 10,000 candy-filled eggs, and a series of grand prizes, including Lakeside Water Park family memberships! The Easter egg hunt starts at 1:00 p.m., but families are encouraged to come early to have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny and enjoy the mobile playground, which will be set up from noon – 2:00 p.m.

The event will take place outside at Lakeside Recreation Facility, located at 1033 S. Lake Storey Road. Parking is available across the street at 833 S. Lake Storey Road. HyVee will also offer a grilling station, selling hot dogs and chips. In addition to the traditional Easter egg hunt, Galesburg Parks and Recreation is also offering an alternative free take-home egg hunt, as well as glow-in-the-dark egg hunt options. More information on the Easter egg hunts, as well as other City of Galesburg recreation programs, can be found on the city’s website
