Experience a Piece of History at the Warren County History Museum

The Warren County History Museum in Monmouth is back open for the season. Director Dr. Eugene Watkins highlights the new and permanent exhibits on view:

“Our new exhibit on the ‘Golden Age of Fraternalism,’ focuses primarily on I guess what you would call secret societies and fraternal organizations in Warren County between about 1870 and 1910. We have the spectacular ‘Agricultural Equipment and Tools’ exhibit, it is one of our permanent ones. That has plows from the 1850s all the way to the turn of the century. We have the ‘Civil War’ exhibit, that is another permanent one, that hopefully we will add to. We have renamed our military room to the ‘Robert Dunlap Room’ for the congressional Medal of Honor winner form Warren County. Also, the really interesting ‘Women’s Clothing’ display is still there. We are hoping to change out at least one of them later this spring for the history of medicine in Warren County.”

The Warren County History Museum is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 1 to 4 pm.
