The Maple City Antique Tractor Association will kick off a year full of events with their Toy and Tractor Show on Saturday, March 9th, shares Club Member Curt Shimmin:

“We were always used to having a winter show at the mall in Galesburg where we brought in our actual tractors, but since the mall is no longer available, we decided to go to a toy show and bring in the models of our actual tractors and tell a little history about them and actually show people how we farmed in years past by using toys and telling stories. One thing about it, our group, a lot of them grew up in the 1930s and 1940s and tractors have really changed since then.”

The Toy and Tractor Show, which is free to attend, will be held from 10 am to 2 pm at the Monmouth American Legion, where the Legion’s Hamburger Fry will also be available.
