West Central Heat Spring Sports Hope to See Success With New Training Program

The West Central Heat winter sports season has officially ended, as all 2023-2024 winter teams have wrapped up their regular and postseason play. With the month of March beginning today, the 2024 spring sports teams at West Central High School are surely ready to begin play in the upcoming weeks. The track and field team is first up for the Heat, as they begin their season next Friday, March 8th at the indoor Lincoln Trail Conference meet at ROWVA/Williamsfield High School. The varsity baseball team is also on the road to begin their season, starting off at West Hancock on March 14th, while the varsity softball team begins their season on the 18th on the road at Orion High School.

Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show on Thursday morning, West Central Athletic Director Joel Zaiser says the spring sports programs will get a chance to spend some time training down at Camp Point Central High School after the boys’ basketball season wraps up.
