What Does College Players Unionization Mean for the NCAA?

The interim athletic director at Illinois State University — Dr. Jeri Beggs — says efforts among college student athletes to unionize could hinder the future of many college programs.  This week, the Dartmouth men’s basketball team became the first college team in U.S. sports history to organize a union.  But Dr. Beggs told WJBC that she worries that if unionization efforts spread, some student athletes will be paid and sports teams will go under.
