Douglas L. “Doug” Wilson, age 56, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 1:21 AM on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at his residence in Monmouth. He was born November 9, 1967 in Monmouth, Illinois, the son of Allan James and Patricia Ann (Simonson) Wilson. Doug attended schools in the area and graduated from Carthage High School. 

Doug worked for many years at the Warren Achievement Workshop here in Monmouth, Illinois. He enjoyed watching movies, playing checkers, word search books, and reminiscing about Monmouth. He enjoyed Church services in many area Churches. Mostly, Doug loved socializing with his friends and being with his family.   

Doug is survived by three sisters, Shana Wilson, Jennifer Schoene, and Sabrina Wilson, all of Monmouth, Illinois, three brothers, Billy (Cindi Hager) Wilson, Jack (Patricia) Wilson, and Alan Wilson, Jr., all of Monmouth, Illinois. He is also survived by his step-father, Keith Shepler, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Doug is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Dee Ann Wilson.

A visitation for Doug is planned from 10:00-11:30 AM on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Private family inurnment will be at Monmouth Cemetery.
