Henderson County Launches P3 Tips Crimestoppers App

Share

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Department and Crimestoppers have launched a new app-based program, P3 Tips, to provide community members with another form of communication in sending anonymous tips to help solve and prevent crimes. While the traditional tip phone line is still active, Sheriff Matt Link says this appeals to the younger generation:

“We still have our traditional call in phone line which is 309-867-6202 or 888-867-6202. We just recently added this P3 app just because nowadays the younger generation, they don’t like to pick up the phone. They are always texting or on an app itself, so we have added this P3 Tips app which gives another opportunity for people to be anonymous and send us in tips so that way we do start getting more tips to help us out and help the community out in helping to solve crimes.”

Since the re-implementation of the Henderson County Crimestoppers and with the use of the P3 Tips app under Sheriff Link, ten times more tips have been submitted.
