Tonight kicks off the Monmouth Farmers Market and More for the season. Manager Sharon Stevens previews the items that will be on hand:
“Obviously we will have our fruit and vegetable vendors. Most of those won’t have produce ready until the end of June. Also, fresh honey, dehydrated mushrooms, everything from jewelry and other trinkets, plus lotions and creams with CBD oil grown right in Monmouth. We will have something for everybody.”
Each week will also feature a special themed celebration with a children’s craft to go along, shares Manager Kontanze Fowler:
“Each week we are trying to celebrate something. This week is National Smile Day. We have Eagle View coming in to talk about dentistry and our crafts are going to be centered around whatever we are celebrating. In June, just a few upcoming ones, we have World Food Safety Day with the Warren County Health Department, Flag Day we will have the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts come and do a flag ceremony, and Take Your Dog to Work Day, we will have WIAR come out. It will be a good, fun time.”
The Monmouth Farmers Market and More will be held on Fridays from 5 to 7 pm at the Warren County History Museum, 238 South Sunny Lane.
