A man is dead after he was hit by a garbage truck in Burlington. Authorities say the garbage truck was backing up on Isabella Avenue yesterday morning when a hearing-impaired man went to cross the street and was hit. The victim was identified as Brian Whittaker. The incident is under investigation.
