The Monmouth-Roseville baseball team was able to keep their 2024 postseason going on Monday, with a thrilling 6-5 walkoff win over Mercer County in the class 2A regional quarterfinals from Sunny Lane Field in Monmouth. The Titans trailed 5-3 heading into the bottom of the 7th inning, before driving in 2 runs to tie the game at 5-all. With the bases loaded and one out, pinch hitter Ayden Holcomb hit the winning single. Monmouth-Roseville’s clutch win sends them on to the regional semifinals in Princeton, where they will meet up with a familiar opponent in the 21-4 Sherrard Tigers. Sherrard and Monmouth-Roseville played each other just 9 days ago, where the Tigers came away with a close 5-4 win at home.

Now with a regional win under their belt, 13-13 Monmouth-Roseville looks to pull off the upset. Titans Head Coach Jordan Ball previewed their upcoming playoff matchup with the Three Rivers Conference West Division champions on the WRAM Morning Show this morning.

Monmouth-Roseville’s regional semifinal contest against Sherrard begins this afternoon from Princeton high school with first pitch at 4:00.
