Story by Kadin Rogers

The Monmouth-Roseville softball team’s season came to an end this week with a loss in class 2A regional quarterfinal action. The Lady Titans wrap up the season with a 2-19 record overall, and 0-10 mark in Three Rivers Conference play. With the 2024 season in the rear view, the Titans softball program is now looking forward to summer and next fall action, as this year will be the first year of junior high softball for Monmouth-Roseville. The Titans junior high team will feature one team consisting of both 7th and 8th graders, with the first game set for August 8th at United.

Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show this morning, MRHS softball coach Jarrod Hippen says the addition of a junior high program will help boost the number of athletes participating in high softball, as well as better preparing players for the high school level.

Practice gets underway for the junior high softball team on July 29th.
