The Monmouth-Roseville Titans boys and girls track teams have both found success in the 2024 spring postseason. This past Thursday, the Titans girls track and field team was in Princeton for class 2A sectionals, where they had an individual qualify for IHSA state finals this weekend. Titan senior Carmyn Huston placed second in the shot put and third in the discus at sectionals, and has advanced on to her third straight appearance at the IHSA state finals in Charleston.

The Titans boys track and field team was also in action over the weekend, competing in the Three Rivers Conference championship meets in Rockridge on Friday night. Titans senior Jekxel Rivera captured a first place finish in the 400 meter dash as the boys gear up for the start of their postseason.

Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show on Monday, Monmouth-Roseville High School Athletic Director Jeremy Adolphson discussed the successful weekend for both Titans track and field teams.

Carmyn will compete in the class 2A shotput and discus preliminaries on Friday at Eastern Illinois University, while the boys track team has a meet scheduled weather pending in Bushnell, before beginning their postseason with the class 2A sectional meet in Galesburg this week.
