The Monmouth-Roseville high school track program had a big weekend at the 2024 IHSA state track meet in Charleston. After a fantastic showing at sectionals, Titans senior thrower Carmyn Huston qualified for the state meet in both the shot put and discus events. Competing on Saturday, Huston won 2 medals on the day, finishing 8th in the discus with a throw of 35.04 meters, and 2nd in the shot put with a final throw of 12.3 meters. Huston’s success at state this year is nothing new for her, as this is the third straight year of medaling at Eastern Illinois University.
