Sandburg Youth Sports Camps this Summer for Cross Country, Basketball, Volleyball

Have your child train to become a future Charger at Sandburg’s youth camps this summer for cross country, basketball and volleyball.

Each camp is led by Chargers coaches and student-athletes, who will teach kids fundamentals and instill competitiveness while emphasizing fun.

Youth cross country camp
June 11-13
For runners of all levels ages 9-18. Hosted by Chargers men’s and women’s cross country coach Rodney Blue.

Time: 5-6 p.m.

Location: Sandburg’s Galesburg campus

Cost: $30
Registration deadline: May 31

Youth basketball camp
July 8-10

For boys and girls entering grades 3-8. Hosted by Chargers women’s basketball coach Kellen Fernetti and men’s basketball coach Ryan Twaddle.

Times: 9-11 a.m. for grades 3-5; 1-3 p.m. for grades 6-8

Location: John Lewis Gym

Cost: $30 ($25 for each additional camper per household) and includes a camp T-shirt

Youth volleyball camp
July 23-25

For players entering grades 3-8. Hosted by Chargers volleyball coach Todd Winkler and members of the Sandburg volleyball team.

Times: 9-11 a.m. for grades 3-5; 1-3 p.m. for grades 6-8

Location: John Lewis Gym

Cost: $30 ($25 for each additional camper per household) and includes a camp T-shirt
