Two people are dead following separate crashes on I-88 in East Moline.  Authorities say the first accident happened yesterday morning on I-88 westbound, just east of Exit 2, when a box truck rear-ended a semi truck that was entering the roadway from the shoulder.  The box truck driver died, while the driver of the semi was cited for violating minimum speed regulations.  The second crash happened less than an hour later when a semi truck was hit by a sedan while slowing down due to the initial crash scene.  The female driver of the sedan died at the hospital.  Both incidents are still under investigation.
