Chicago Cubs Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg is being honored by the team. A statue of the standout second baseman was unveiled yesterday outside of Wrigley Field. Sandberg was recently diagnosed with cancer. His sculpture joins those of other Cub greats like Ernie Banks, Fergie Jenkins, Ron Santo, and Billy Williams. Sandberg won seven Silver Slugger Awards and was a ten-time All-Star. He also earned the 1984 National League MVP award.
