Protect Your Summer Fun with Gilling Tips

Share

As the summer weather is here, so is grilling season. Grill fires can start easily and spread quickly if left unattended or placed close to hazardous materials. Monmouth Firefighter Tim LaFollette offers grilling safety tips:

“When it comes to grilling, you want to keep the grill, obviously, a safe distance from your house. You want to make sure you shut the gas off every time after you are done using it. Then if you are going to put a cover or anything on it, you need to wait for the grill to cool down before you place anything on top of it too, that can be a fire hazard as well.”

Grilling regularly causes build up on the grill plates and also inside the grease tray. Make sure to keep those cleaned to prevent any fires.
