Summertime is here, which means so are the school projects, and Monmouth-Roseville Superintendent Ed Fletcher shares ongoing projects within the district:

“Our high school restrooms are being demoed. We are getting some new interior door locks at the high school as well. The junior high is going to see some really big updates. The science labs are getting the second year of their remodel, we did part of it last year and the rest of it this summer. Down in the basement, we are putting in a suspended ceiling hoping that we are able to deaden some of the sound down there because when you are teaching class and have kids eating lunch, we are trying to mitigate that. We are replacing the sound system at the junior high in the gym as well. If anyone drives by Central, you will see on the South side of the building, we are doing some concrete work, some drainage work, and the soccer field in getting new lights.”

The Monmouth-Roseville Board of Education also approved a tentative amended budget.
