This Saturday, June 22nd, Freedom Ride Animal Rescue is hosting a 1 mile walk and wag and 5K fun run at 9 am, beginning and ending at the First Christian Church in Monmouth. Co-Owner of the organization Brandy Woehler explains how proceeds will make an impact:

“We are about transporting dogs from breeder releases and kill shelters to no kill animal rescues. We transport them for free. If we get a call that placement is needed, we will find them placement if we can. We just try to save as many as possible. We have driven over 4,500 miles just this year. We have a lot of different rescues and shelters that we work with in Iowa and Missouri. We have done quite a few trips to the Saint Louis area and Chicago.”

In 2024 alone, Freedom Ride Animal Rescue has rescued 65 animals.
