Beth Ann (Chism) Wright, 83, of Galesburg, died at 11:25 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at the Knox County Nursing Home surrounded by dear family and friends.

She was born Friday, January 10, 1941, in Galesburg, the daughter of Ralph L. and Louise (Peterson) Chism Sr. She had been married to Chuck Wright.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, Cindy (Dave) Olson of Galesburg, Cheryl (Daryl) Weir of Knoxville, Jackie Weidenhamer of Dahinda, Brett (Mindy) Wright of Knoxville, Brian (Angel) Wright of Knoxville, and Josh (and Crystal) Wright of Illinois; many great nieces and nephews; several great-great nieces and nephews; her “favorite girl cousin”, Ronna (Rolland) Mastin; sisters-in-law, Ginger Chism of Knoxville and Sandra Wright of Dahinda; and special friends, Audrey Huddleston, Barb and Bob Genisio, Lorraine and Pat Condon, and Cory, Daniel, and Abby Huddleston. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ralph L. Chism Jr.

She was a graduate of Knoxville High School with the class of 1959. Beth had worked for the Knox County Farm Bureau as a secretary before becoming a laborer at OMC Gale Products then Maytag. She finished her working career at the Knox County Nursing Home, where she worked as a CNA and a receptionist. When not working, Beth enjoyed shopping, vacationing, and traveling with her dear friends, Audrey, Lorraine, and Barb. Beth was a member of the FRG of the Illinois National Guard for the past 10 years. She attended Faith Bible Fellowship and was active with children’s and other activities.

Cremation will be accorded. To celebrate her life, the family is hosting a gathering on Sunday, August 4, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Vault at Reserve Artisan Ales. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the family. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral and Cremation Services of Galesburg is honored to serve the family.
