Monmouth College men’s and women’s tennis coach, Brian Dahlstrom, took over the program from long-time coach Brian Jordan in 2022. Before coming to Monmouth, Dahlstrom was an instructor and tennis pro at the Quad City Tennis Club in Moline. Dahlstrom, also the co-owner, helped open the Quad City Tennis Club in 2001 and was the Director of Tennis for 12 years. The Quad City Tennis Club is the home club of 2017 U.S. Open runner up Madison Keys. Dahlstrom coached the United Township High School tennis teams from 1991-97. As a young player, Dahlstrom played Division I tennis at Illinois State University before transferring to St. Ambrose, where he was a NAIA National Qualifier in 1983 and 1984.

Dahlstrom was a guest on last Friday’s WRAM Morning Show and was asked about the recruiting process for high school players.

The Fighting Scots women’s tennis team opens up their fall season on August 24th at Dahlstrom’s alma mater, St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa.
