Exciting Changes Ahead in Downtown Monmouth

Share

The long anticipated Downtown Monmouth Beautification project is underway with the added parking lot taking form on South 1st Street, followed by the 100 blocks into and out of the Square, with the quadrant portions to begin after the Maple City Street Machines Car Cruise, explains Mayor Rod Davies:

“They were digging over at the parking lot, so that has begun. I think they are going to try to stay away from the quadrants until after the Car Cruise and work on the 100 blocks of north and south, east and west. I think they are going to begin in those areas and try to minimize the impact on the quadrants.”

Porter Brothers Construction out of Rock Falls is the company in charge of the Downtown Monmouth project.
