Keeping Up with Livestock Shows at the Warren County Agriculture Fair

Share

The 2024 Warren County Agricultural Fair kicks off Saturday night with the fair queen pageant. Warren County Fair Swine Director Lynn Shimmin gives a look into the livestock show schedule, with the rabbit, poultry, and goat show starting Wednesday.

“Thursday is the large animal 4-H shows with the swine, sheep, and cattle. Thursday after the shows are all over, is master showmanship and that evening is our auction. This is a premium auction only, and all the money goes to the exhibitor,” says Shimmin. “Friday, we start our barrow show and swine breeding show that morning, continue into the sheep and goat show. Non livestock showing that day will be the Junior home-economics show that evening. We’ll have the auction for the cakes and baked goods.”

Saturday is the junior beef show. The Warren County Agricultural Fair is taking place July 13-20.
