A man is accused of leaving his dog in a hot vehicle in Peoria.  Hunter Melsha was charged with Animal Cruelty following the incident Saturday in the 200 block of Pecan Street.  The dog was locked in a vehicle where the inside temperature reached 150 degrees.  It appeared the dog had been chewing through the window to get out and eventually jumped out of the broken window.  Peoria County Animal Protection Services took custody of the dog, which only suffered minor cuts from the glass.
