Central Illinois native Tyler Inselmann has been named Monmouth College softball coach. Inselmann has been part of the Monmouth softball staff for the last two seasons as an assistant coach. Prior to joining the Scots, Inselmann was an assistant coach at Tremont High School, just outside of Peoria. He spent three seasons with the Turks, winning regional titles in 2021 and 2022 before falling both seasons in the sectional round to state-power Rockridge.

Monmouth College Sports Information Director Nathan Baliva shared some details on the hiring process and Coach Inselmann’s coaching experience on the Monday’s WRAM Morning Show.

The Scots finished in sixth place in the Midwest Conference in 2023 and in fifth place in 2024.
