Second Man Charged in Deadly Galesburg Shooting

Another man is charged with murder in a deadly shooting in Galesburg last month.  Police say Cam’ron Glass was found shot to death June 7th inside a home in the 900 block of East South Street.  Chase Houlden was also wounded during the shooting.  He was hospitalized prior to being taken into custody on the arrest warrant for murder.  Yesterday, Gabriel Moore was also arrested on an arrest warrant for murder.

On Thursday, July 11, 2024, Gabriel Moore, 19, was taken into custody on a Knox County arrest warrant for murder. The Galesburg Police Department, Knox County Sherriff’s Department, and the United States Marshalls took Gabriel Moore into custody at 300 E. Davis St., Apartment #2, Galesburg, IL.

This arrest is the result of a shooting on June 7, 2024, at 949 E. South Street in Galesburg, which resulted in the death of Cam’ron Glass, 18 years old, of Galesburg.

As previously reported, the Galesburg Police Department responded to the 900 block of E. South Street in reference to shots being fired on Friday, June 7, 2024, at approximately 11:12 AM. Upon arrival, a gunshot victim, later identified at Cam’ron Glass, was located inside the residence at 949 E. South Street. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene with an apparent gunshot wound.
