Application deadline for Jamieson Community Center STARS (Students to Arrive Ready for School)
program is approaching fast. July 19 is the last day to sign up your student to receive a backpack filled
with items from their teacher’s school supply list. Warren County students, grades K-8, are eligible.
Applications can be completed by calling (309) 734-4251 or in person at 1025 S. 2nd Street from 8:30 a.m.
to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Money or in-kind donations are accepted. $25.00 sponsors a child. JCC purchases exactly what is
needed, eliminating waste. For in-kind donations, we are accepting wide-ruled spiral notebooks, solid
color paper pocket folders with fasteners, or MEAD plastic pocket folders with fasteners. We anticipate
on serving 200 students this year. Our goal is to give each child the right tools for success.

STARS is sponsored by Community National Bank along with area churches. In-kind donations will be
accepted July 22 through July 26. For more information on the STARS program or Jamieson Community
Center visit jamiesoncommunitycenter.org.
